2016 Projects of the Year presented by POWERGRID International
Nominations close Sept. 15, 2015. Finalists will be notified in the fall.
Winners will be announced live Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, in Orlando during the Electric Light & Power and POWERGRID International Annual Awards Dinner, which will kick off DistribuTECH Conference & Exhibition week. Winners also will be recognized in a 2016 issue of POWERGRID International.
Judges will select one utility winner in each of four categories:
All projects will be judged on five specific criteria:
All companies involved in transmission and/or distribution of electric power are eligible, including investor-owned utilities, federal power agencies, municipal utilities and rural electric cooperatives. Also eligible are RTOs, ISOs, independent transmission companies and other T&D-owning/operating entities.
Project/implementation (or significant phases of a phased rollout) must have been completed between Dec. 1, 2014, and Dec. 1, 2015. Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.
Winning entries will work with a POWERGRID International editor to develop the article and award video between Sept. 15, 2015, and the Electric Light & Power and POWERGRID International Annual Awards Dinner on Feb. 8, 2016. High-resolution photos/graphics (up to 10) and additional project details will be required.
