Day & Zimmermann (D&Z) won a four-year contract with Public Service New Mexico (PNM) to provide maintenance and modification services at its San Juan Generating Station located 15 miles west of Farmington, New Mexico.

This is D&Z’s first contract with PNM. Mobilization begins in November with support from D&Z’s Phoenix office.

With headquarters in Albuquerque, PNM provides electric power to 500,000 customers in dozens of communities across the state. PNM is a unit of PNM Resources, an energy holding company also headquartered in Albuquerque.

San Juan Generating Station is a key source of power for PNM and more than 2 million customers in the Southwest and West. San Juan's low cost and excellent reliability make it an important part of PNM's energy portfolio, even as PNM adds more renewable energy to that portfolio. The plant is a four-unit, coal-fired station generating 1,800 gross MW.
