Demand response and energy efficiency provider EnerNOC Inc. expanded its energy efficiency technology at California State University San Marcos.

California State University will use EnerNOC's EfficiencySMART Insight software to increase savings across the San Marcos campus. San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) funded the project in part through the UC/CSU/IOU Partnership Program, which offers incentives to universities that combine building commissioning with real-time energy monitoring.

Since 2008, EnerNOC has helped CSMSM achieve 10 percent savings from field-based commissioning and data analytics, as well as an additional 8 percent savings from persistent monitoring and ongoing automated fault detection, according to Power Engineering.
