The Smart Grid Horizon: From a Distribution Automation Vantage Point
The smart grid is looming on the horizon. Many people relate the smart grid to advanced metering, home automation and energy efficiency. While these are certainly a part of what the smart grid offers, they are by no means all the areas covered by the smart grid.
Distribution automation is a major player in smart grid development. Utilities are developing and enabling advanced applications and technologies needed for the future operating environment.
In this webcast, presenters from three investor-owned utilities will share their experiences about the development of the next generation distribution system and operating platform.
