Duke Energy Ohio, Kentucky link into PJM

At midnight Eastern Time, Jan. 1, PJM Interconnection successfully assumed operational control of the transmission systems of Duke Energy Ohio, Inc. and Duke Energy Kentucky, Inc.,  both subsidiaries of Duke Energy Corporation, and began administering open, competitive wholesale electricity markets in those areas.
