Allegheny Energy, Inc. (NYSE: AYE) and American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP)  reiterated a request to regulators in Virginia for permission to withdraw the previously submitted application to build the Potomac-Appalachian Transmission Highline (PATH) project in the state.
