Constellation Energy, PureSense to provide load response services to growers

Baltimore, January 24, 2012 — Constellation Energy agreed with PureSense Environmental, Inc. to provide automated load response programs to customers of PureSense Environmental's energy response program, PureSenseESP.

The relationship will provide the real-time irrigation management company the opportunity to offer their growers Constellation Energy's load response programs to help them curb their energy usage and keep their businesses environmentally friendly.

Through this collaboration, eligible PureSense customers will have access to 24-hour load response support and VirtuWatt, an energy management platform that can help them build their energy strategy. In addition, Constellation Energy can offer additional products to PureSense customers including power, gas, solar, energy efficiency and renewables.

Constellation Energy currently manages nearly 1,700 MW of load response for commercial and industrial customers in the PJM, New England, New York, ERCOT, California and Ontario regions.

The company's VirtuWatt web application, which is also available as an app for both iPhone and iPad, enables customers to better monitor and manage their electricity use and maximize the financial benefits of demand response programs through minute-to-minute metering, real-time pricing information, marketplace bidding capabilities and automated energy curtailment strategies.

PureSense Environmental currently provides real-time irrigation intelligence to over 300 growers who grow over 50 different crop types across 10 states, and most recently Mexico.
