Eastern ECO-GM Series built to solve GM Check Engine Light problems

Langhorne, Pa., January 12, 2010—Eastern Catalytic, a manufacturer of catalytic converters and related emission control components, has expanded its ECO converter lines with a special series designed to help keep the ‘Check Engine Light’ off on specific GM vehicles. The new ECO-GM Series has been developed specifically to meet the emissions challenges of GM 2.2, 3.1, 3.4, and 3.8L engines. The ECO-GM catalyst has been engineered with a specially formulated precious metal and chemical content to meet the OBDII requirements of specific GM vehicles.

The new catalyst washcoat is designed to maximize catalyst performance and oxygen storage capability. It was developed by the same supplier that produced the original equipment. ECO-GM is backed by Eastern’s 5-year / 50,000 mile warranty.

Eastern ECO-GM catalytic converters are available in direct-fit models for select GM applications and a 12 in. (16 in. OAL) universal configuration. According to Henry Hippert, Executive Sales Director, Eastern has many more nameplate-specific lines currently under development.
