Tubing End Prep Tools Feature Air-Operated Clamp Attachment

ESCO Tool offers a pneumatic clamping option for their right angle welding end prep tools. The tools provide instant attach-and-release for high-volume, repetitive end prep applications.

The MILLHOG Air Clamp is an air-operated cylinder that fits the firm's small diameter welding end prep tools for use on tube and pipe up to 3" I.D. Featuring a self-centering draw rod that rigidly mounts into the tube or pipe I.D., the clamping mechanism employs clamp ribs that retract off the mandrel automatically to reduce friction and promote high reliability.

Capable of improving the cycle times between end preps by as much as 600%, the MILLHOG Air Clamp fits the Ground-, Tube Weasel-, and Wart MILLHOG end prep tools which can bevel, face, and bore tubes simultaneously, and can be used at any orientation. Typical high speed applications include fabrication shops processing individual tubes and tube sheet panels.

Amphibious 8x8 750 HDi for Utilities and Natural Resource Exploration

ARGO's new 3-in-1 UTV, snowmobile and small boat–the 750 HDi–is for backcountry asset management in the utility or resources sector. When crews and equipment have to be moved over miles of inhospitable terrain to inspect hydro lines or prospect new drilling sites, the 750 HDi provides a lower cost alternative.

The top of the line ARGO model holds up to six passengers and features enhanced performance and handling, improved fit and finish as well reduced maintenance time and cost. It's driven by a powerful 31hp 748cc electronic fuel-injected Kohler LH 775 engine.

The 750 HDi comes with a patented Admiral transmission that is up to 50% more efficient than hydrostatic drive systems and 20% more efficient than the current ARGO transmissions; the result is a very smooth ride when operating on trails in high range, and easy turning within its own length in low gear. When in water, the tires propel it with very good floatation and stability. In addition, the 750 HDi features larger, triple sealed outer bearings for longer life, new heavy duty front and rear axles for added durability, newly designed floor pans and fire wall for more leg room, new vents below the hood scoop for extra engine cooling in demanding conditions, a new hydraulic, independently operating and self adjusting parking brake as well as new larger, sealed light and accessory switches that are easy to use even when wearing work gear.

The company also offers six more models: the smaller, but still powerful ARGO 6x6 Frontier and 650, the ARGO 8x8 Frontier 650, as well as the ARGO 8x8 Avenger 700 and 750 EFI.

Accelerate Cable Installation with New Velocity Cable Pulling Lubricant

IDEAL introduces Velocity, an ultra-low friction cable pulling lubricant that helps contractors achieve the fastest possible pulls in electrical, telecommunications and data applications.

Utilizing information gained over the years with the company's successful ClearGlide lubricants, Velocity is cited to provide one of the industry's highest "clingability" factors to yield the longest lasting, most uniform coating on all types of cable jacket materials. In independent testing, Velocity exhibited a coefficient of dynamic friction that was 25% lower than competitive lubricants, resulting in drastically increased lubricity for easier pulling with less effort. Contractors will appreciate this tension reduction, especially during long pulls, multiple-bend pulls or pulls in extreme environments (25° F to 140° F).

Velocity slow dries to a slippery film that maintains lubricity for several months. The cream colored gel is non-toxic, non-flammable and non-corrosive, plus will not stain skin or clothing. Cleanup only requires soap and water.

IDEAL velocity cable pulling lubricant is available in one-quart squeeze bottles; one-, five- and 55-gallon drums; as well as one-quart and half-gallon bags.
