TeCom Inc. has provided Kmart Corp. with an energy management solution utilizing the InterLane System, an Internet-ready energy information system. "We needed to streamline the process of collecting and analyzing our energy consumption data for our stores across the nation," said John Sulek, Kmart Corp. national energy manager.
The system will provide instant energy information on Kmart facilities via the Kmart intranet, allowing immediate reaction to any anomaly occurring at their facilities. The Ethernet (TCP/IP) communications also allow the system to piggyback on Kmart`s existing high speed data networks, reducing installation costs, according to TeCom.
The system provides single-site data collection to multi-site aggregation, alarming and analysis.
