Allegheny Energy Inc. appointed Paul M. Barbas president of AYP Capital Inc., the company`s ventures subsidiary. He was also named a vice president of Allegheny Energy Inc. He brings 17 years of experience working for General Electric Co. Jay S. Pifer was appointed president of Allegheny Power, the electricity delivery business. Peter J. Skrgic was appointed as president of Allegheny Energy Supply, the electric energy supply business. Both serve as senior vice presidents of Allegheny Energy Inc. and of Allegheny Energy Service Corp. and as directors and vice presidents of various Allegheny Energy subsidiaries.
