Noncontact thermometer, Model IR231, features a 30:1 distance-to-target size ratio. Its laser-sighting feature pinpoints targets and allows "point and shoot" operation. Accuracy is plus or minus 1% of reading or plus or minus 1 C, whichever is greater. Temperature range is -32 C to 550 C (-25 F to 1,000 F), selectable C or F. Response time is half a second. The thermometer is CE approved and can be ordered NIST certified.
