Southern Co.`s Chairman and CEO A.W. "Bill" Dahlberg named Gale Klappa senior president and chief strategic officer. Klappa served as president and CEO of Southern Co.`s South Western Electricity subsidiary in England and more recently was president of Southern Energy`s North America Group.
