Northeast Utilities affiliate Select Energy Inc. was approved by the Delaware Public Service Commission to provide retail electric supply in the state. In addition to electricity, Select Energy is providing natural gas, energy services and equipment for reducing customers` energy costs. The company is targeting the 11-state region from Maine to Maryland. As required by the Delaware PSC, customers with electricity loads exceeding 1 MW became eligible to choose their power supplier October 1. Choice opens for 300 kW customers January 1, and all other customer Oct. 1, 2000.
