Nicor Energy LLC, a Lisle, Ill.-based energy service company jointly owned by Dynegy and Nicor, contracted Convergys Corp. of Cincinnati (www.convergys.com) to provide outsourced billing and customer care services for 10 years. The contract covers only natural gas customers in greater Chicago and northern Indiana. The Convergys solution automates and supports all aspects of customer service, from customer acquisition through billing.
"The Convergys solution will support our plans to aggressively grow our customer base and generate increasing revenue by offering additional energy and new non-energy services as we expand geo- graphically," said Tom Modaff, Nicor Energy vice president.
