CP&L goes CheckFree


Carolina Power & Light (CP&L) contracted CheckFree (www.checkfree.com) of Atlanta to provide electronic billing and payment services for the utility`s 1.2 million electricity and energy services customers in the Carolinas. Customers will be able to receive and pay their electric bills by accessing CP&L`s website (www.cplc.com). Also, the website`s customer support section will provide detailed information about customers` accounts, electricity usage and weather statistics in numeric and graphic forms.
