Ioxus announces distributor network for ultracapacitors

Oneonta, N.Y., October 26, 2009 — Ioxus, Inc., developers and manufacturers of ultracapacitor technologies for the energy storage market, unveiled its Ioxus Distributor Network.

The initiative is launched in response to the increased demand for smaller-sized, higher capacity and greater power density ultracapacitors for military, transportation, utility and alternative energy applications.

It provides worldwide distributors such as Advanced Power Components, Masline Electronics and Trendsetter Electronics with a range of technical and marketing support to supply customized solutions for specific applications.

Ioxus offers U.S.-manufactured ultracapacitors. The Ioxus Distributor Network includes distributors that sell, implement and support passive components and energy storage technologies.

Ioxus provides distributors with ultracapacitors that extend the charge time and reduce battery use in electronics, hybrid vehicles, wind farms, material handling equipment and other green technologies.

Ioxus develops, manufactures and commercializes ultracapacitor technologies entirely in the United States. The Ioxus family of ultracapacitors is optimized for high performance with low resistance, ideal for delivering high power bursts for acceleration, energy recapture, peak load shaving and high power applications.

The company was established by the parent company, Custom Electronics, Inc., which has supplied commercial and military clients with high reliability capacitors and integrated electronic assemblies since 1964. Ioxus is headquartered in Oneonta, N.Y.
