Seattle, August 27, 2010 — L&L Energy, Inc., a U.S.-based company operating coal businesses in China, appointed former U.S. Transportation Secretary and Commerce Secretary Norman Y. Mineta to vice chairman of the company's board of directors.

In addition to his vice chair responsibilities, Mineta will also chair the company's nominations committee.
