enXco, KCP&L sign power agreement for 100 MW wind project


San Diego, January 4, 2012 — enXco and KCP&L have entered into a power purchase agreement for a 100.8 MW wind energy facility to be built in Ford County, Kansas, 17 miles northeast of Dodge City. The agreement was finalized in November 2011.

enXco will develop, build, and own the Spearville 3 Wind Project, consisting of 63 General Electric XLE wind turbines, while KCP&L will buy the power generated under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

The project anticipates the commencement of construction in late Q1 2012 with expected commercial operation achieved by the end of December 2012.

With Spearville 3, enXco has developed 52 renewable energy facilities representing over 3,300 MW.
