New Line of Cranes Controlled by Crane Dynamics Technology

Stellar Industries introduces a new line of telescopic service cranes equipped with Crane Dynamics Technology (CDT). The CDT is a proprietary collection of features that control, power, and monitor the new cranes.

Models range from 6,000-lb capacity to 14,000-lb capacity. The Stellar CDT equipped cranes will engage and communicate with the crane operator by using multiple sensory indicators when approaching maximum capacity. This includes the use of colored LED lights and pulsating vibrations. The Stellar CDT control system also allows the operator to go into a boost mode and operate at nearly 120% of its normal operating capacity for a short period of time.

The third feature of the Stellar cranes is the ability to function in safety mode when a safety feature is damaged or malfunctions. Other Stellar crane features continue to include all hydraulic extensions up to 28', hexagonal boom design, a planetary winch with line speeds up to 60' per minute, and a radio remote control as standard.

Safe T Climb Extension Ladder Anti-Fall Device

The Safe T Climb extension ladder anti-fall device can be used with any ladder, on any type of roof regardless of roof covering or pitch–including a parapet–to prevent the ladder from becoming displaced while climbing or when left unattended. The easy-to-use device weighs 9 pounds and can be attached to the ladder at the roof line in less than 30 seconds.

Safe T Climb is designed to be attached to the ladder at the roof line before transitioning to the roof or before performing work on the ladder. Safe T Climb prevents lateral movement or kick-out when accessing a building or climbing below grade such as when accessing an electrical vault. It has a built-in extension ladder angle verification device that allows the user to accurately set up the ladder to achieve the OSHA-required ladder angle of 75.5 degrees. The extension ladder angle verification device is also available separately. Angle Rite can easily be attached to the side rail of any extension ladder to achieve accurate angle setup within 1 degree of accuracy.

AEMC Introduces Two New Tachometers

Models CA1725 and CA1727 tachometers are now available from AEMC for industrial and lab applications. These tachometers can measure the rotation speed of any moving part or device. Easy to use, the Models CA1725 and CA1727 can measure using a non-contact method. A photo reflective strip facilitates distance measurements. The optical sensor avoids external interference by incorporating an active, modulated infrared beam –ensuring measurement accuracy.

Models CA1725 and CA1727 both include an adapter for traditional contact type measurement. In addition, these instruments can measure from sensors with voltage outputs through an external input.

They can perform measurements of up to 100,000 rpm, which further extend their applicability: linear velocity on conveyor belts, piece counting, test rigs, speed control and measurements for monitoring and supervision are just a few examples.

The CA1727 includes a USB connection and software specific to tachometers, which facilitates the recording and analysis of data. The LCD display includes both a digital readout and a 42-segment bar graph. Other functions include Min, Max., Hold and Alarms.
