Orlando, Fla., June 2, 2010 — Siemens Energy and eMeter have been selected by Wabash Valley Power Association to implement eMeter's EnergyIP software platform and meter data management application to enable a single system capable of providing meter-to-cash and demand response across multiple customer information and advanced metering systems.

"Wabash Valley works with multiple distribution cooperatives located in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Missouri, each with different meter types and customer information systems. For this reason, we needed a flexible software platform with proven smart grid deployments. Siemens and eMeter have the right product and experience to make our smart grid rollout successful," said Andrew Horstman, manager of demand response, Wabash Valley Power Association.

Siemens and eMeter will be licensing re-usable, standards-based adapters to each of the member CIS and AMI systems, eliminating the need for expensive point-to-point, one-off integrations.
