Ergodyne expands GloWear Hi-Vis apparel line to include fire resistant modacrylic vest

St. Paul, Minn., February 9, 2010—Ergodyne has announced the expansion of its GloWear Hi-Vis apparel line to include the 8260FRHL Class 2 fire resistant (FR) modacrylic vest. The 8260 FRHL vest uses a patented modacrylic fabric that is both ASTM F1506 and ANSI 107 certified. This ensures the vest will not melt or drip and that it meets NFPA 70E requirements. While hi-vis modacrylics can be solid, confining fabrics, the patented mesh used in the 8260FRHL provides best-in-class hi-vis and FR protection along with light weight and breathability for worker comfort and productivity.

The 8260FRHL is very useful for anyone who requires visibility and the protection of FR. Typical users include utility, electrical, oil and gas, port, road construction, and railway workers. In many instances, workers who need FR protection need fall protection as well. The 8260FRHL’s hook & loop closure and easy D-ring access allow workers to wear the vest over fall protection harnesses for superior safety on the job.
