S&C Electric Company has announced the appointment of Kyle Seymour as president.
Seymour, who has served on S&C's board of directors since 2010, succeeds John Estey, who will continue to serve full time as S&C's executive chairman. Seymour and Estey will work closely together to ensure a smooth, stable transition for customers and employees.
Seymour brings extensive leadership and manufacturing experience to S&C. He most recently served as president and CEO of XTEK Inc. Seymour has held this role for 11 years.
"I believe Kyle not only understands but very much values the unique culture, history and guiding principles that have helped make S&C a success,” Estey said. “Kyle has my unqualified support.”
Seymour also has served on the board of directors of Hardinge Inc. and as chairman of the AGMA Foundation. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard. Seymour served five years in the U.S. Navy, during which time he earned the equivalent of a master's degree in nuclear engineering from the Bettis Reactor Engineering School.
