ATLANTA, Ga., June 28, 2002 -- GE Power Systems' AQUAOIL™ 400 moisture-in-oil analyzer puts critical information in the hands of power transformer operators, helping to avert failures and ensure optimal operating efficiencies.
The latest in its line of online moisture monitoring systems, the AQUAOIL 400 moisture-in-oil analyzer has been released by GE for use by electric utilities and large industrial companies in helping to keep power transformers from failing.

The AQUAOIL 400 analyzer continuously monitors the humidity and temperature of the transformer's insulation system, using sensors to detect the presence of moisture in the insulating oil. The unit immediately alerts users to potentially damaging conditions arising from a sudden increase in moisture that can weaken the transformer's insulating structure and cause it to fail prematurely.
The AQUAOIL 400 is available as a stand-alone unit for field installation on a transformer valve, or as part of a comprehensive transformer management system.
